Traveling across Zhangqiu, one can completely
comprehend that the district worthy of the name, which
has been honored with many titles such as the national
ecological demonstration city excellent tourist city in China,
nationalmodel city for environmental protection, national garden
city and national healthy city.
Zhangqiu District boasts a beautiful scenery of lush green
mountains stretching out to the outskirts of the city, and the
Baimai and Yanming spring groups formed by numerous
tinkling springs. With long history and splendid culture, it
has forged a link between Longshan Culture, Confucian
Business Culture, Qingzhao Culture and city parks and culture
demonstration blocks. The streets lined on both sides with lush
trees, blooming flowers, and well-designed landscape sculptures
have more appeal. In recent years, Zhangqiu District has set
the goal to build a modern garden city with green scenery
spreading over the city and parks of various kinds scattered in
all directions, in order to cultivate an environment in which the
green, floral and spring landscapes coexist. “By the end of 2018,
the green coverage rate, greening rate and per capita public
green area of the built-up areas will reach 43.10%, 39.30% and
21.59 square meters, respectively,” a principal of Bureau of
Forestry and Landscaping of Zhangqiu District said.
