On the 16th day of the first month in the Chinese calendar, a conference for the deployment of works was held in Dongjia
subdistrict, Licheng district, which helped motivate the subdistrict office to seek high-quality development in 2019.
“In this year’s report on the work of the municipal government, it has proposed that the construction of the inland
port will be on the agenda, and Dongjia rail freight terminal will be built at a fast speed, in order to set up a system of intermodal
logistics and form Jinan’s International Inland Port - Central Logistics District (CLD). As the host, we urgently need a brainstorm for
“thought emancipation” by carrying out in-depth theoretical and policy researches on the economy of inland ports, providing vigorous
support and guidance to the investment, construction and development of Dongjia subdistrict and neighboring industrial clusters of
Lingang Economic Development Area.”Central Logistics District (CLD) became a hot topic at the conference. Dongjia subdistrict’s
advantageous geographical location is absolutely crucial to the site selection of CLD - the central and the most significant area of
International Inland Port. Based on its unique geographical location and transportation advantages, Dongjia subdistrict has brought
together aviation, high-speed rail, expressway and provincial road in surrounding areas. At the same time, the subdistrict has established
intermodal freight logistics since it sits 7 kilometers and 2 kilometers away from Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport and Jinan New
East Railway Station, and it has ring expressway, east ring road and 102 provincial express passing through the area. Dongjia subdistrict
will usher in a new age, along with the construction of International Inland Port that will be constructed as a new name card of Dongjia
subdistrict and plays a magnetic effect.
