Jinan has been widely-admired for the spectacular view of mountains, springs, lakes and rivers. However, people used to think the city
was doing poorly in urban construction. But in recent years, Jinan City has developed into a fashionable place, with a wealth of high-
rise buildings and commercial complexes as well as a sense of modern urbanity.
Most notably, the “Wall Street” of Jinan is quietly emerging along with the construction of the CBD, creating earth-shaking changes for
the city that has a long history of thousands of years.
Covering a total area of 3.2 square kilometers, the CBD of Jinan connects Huayang Road and West Aoti Road from west to east, South
Gongye Road and Jingshi Road from north to south. Positioned as an area to develop the headquarters economy, finance and modern
business service, preparations for the establishment of the CBD such as planning, demolition and migration, construction and investment
promotion were proceeded smoothly at the same time. After a year of construction, a number of skyscrapers and projects have been built
since 2017 - construction lands were provided for the five super high-rise buildings, so that a series of building blocks in the shape of the
“five-finger mountain” started construction. A huge underground project was being developed in the CBD. Investment promotion was seen
as one of the CBD’s most significant achievements. The CBD’s vigorous growth in the past year made a forest of high-rises mushroom at an
astonishing rate in this region.
