Jinan is gifted with green mountains scattering across the city, the vast lake encircling half the city, blossoming lotus flowers and weeping willows
as well as clear springs gurgling over the stone. The beauty of nature has left its impress of green color upon the city.
To hold fast to the natural green gene, the dismantlement of unapproved and temporary buildings and the construction and expansion of
green surfaces continue to be implemented. Situated in the central region of the city, Shizhong district has remained resolute in demolishing unapproved
and temporary buildings to offer unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape and a comfortable living environment for the residential community,
since it announced the slogan “Quality Shizhong” for construction.
Fundamental changes have taken place in neighborhoods, giving surrounding communities a facelift. Especially in Tieyi community, Er’qi
subdistrict, over a dozen pocket parks were established in the places where were densely packed with unapproved buildings. Ample green spaces,
fitness equipment, leisure and recreational facilities spruced up the surrounding area. A shady, tree-lined street was built on the east side of and named
“Mengxin Street”. The community residents feel a sense of happiness and well-being while strolling along the street which gathers the functions of
entertainment, leisure, fitness and sightseeing.
