Summer is a season brimming with lotus flowers.
In early summer, a dragonfly stayed on the lotus which was just starting to emerge. In midsummer, while the endless
lotus leaves stretched to the horizon, the lotuses were basking in the glow of the sun and tinted with red. Drops of water
were scattered to the winds as the green wave of lotus leaves rolled up and over in the rain. At night, a full pond of lotus glowed in
the moonlight. The enchanting lotus flowers can always make people feel a breath of fresh air beneath a scorching sun.
Lotus that has been planted in Jinan since ancient times is designated as the city flower of Jinan, which illustrates the
adoration of people in the city for this plant. According to historical records, Daming Lake was once called “lotus seed lake”
